Hal Beckett, an award-winning Vancouver-based composer, conductor, orchestrator, and music editor, has been active in the BC film community for nigh on 25 years. His composing credits include film, televison, animation, modern dance, orchestral and concert works, and the odd film logo or aircraft unveiling. When not composing, Hal is producing orchestral sessions (national anthems for the 2010 Olympics, with the VSO), conducting film score sessions with the Vancouver Film Orchestra, conducting string sections for albums (the latest being for Michael Bublé), and conducting business.
Awards! A Prime Time Emmy nod, a few Leo statues and plenty of nods, a Jessie.. he’s got ‘em.
Hal also has a full music production team at his disposal – engineers, music editors, music copying personnel – to make any job go as smooth as.. well.. butter.
